INSTALLATION
Check Crack Determine crack status i.e width, depth, length etc and clean if necessary.
Bench Positioning For concrete thickness of 150-300mm with a crack width of 1mm or less, 5 Geotex Epoxy Injectors are required, generally at 250mm spacing (however, this will depend on the concrete thickness and crack width. The wider the crack, the closer the bench spacing).
Bench Attachment Mark out, position and then attach the benches with a suitable epoxy sealing material, making sure the material is applied seamlessly.
Crack Sealing Apply a 1mm thick, 30mm wide epoxy sealing strip onto the crack between the already attached benches, making sure the epoxy material attaching the benches and covering the crack join seamlessly (check with the epoxy manufacturer for curing times).
Injecting Attach the cylinder body of the Geotex Epoxy Injector to the benches and inject the epoxy material with an injection device. As the injection pressure is increased the cylinder moves in the ‘reverse direction’, and the system transits from the high-pressure injection phase to mid or low pressure. Finally, there remains about 25cc of epoxy material left in the cylinder body. The powerful internal spring allows for seamless repair work by injecting the remaining epoxy material to use in the secondary injection phase. (Note: If the epoxy material in the cylinder body is used up before hardening, perform a recharge immediately)
Curing of Injection Material Check with the manufacturer of the epoxy injection material for curing times.
Finish Remove the Geotex Epoxy Injectors and peel of the sealing material with a putty knife while applying heat to the sealing material with a torch lamp. If the sealing material will not peel of, grind off with a disc grinder and complete to required finish.
